Services and Groups
The Alzheimer Society of York Region provides the following Enhancing Care Program clinical services and groups both in-person and through video conferencing (virtual care):
- Assessment, Individual Counselling, and Referral
- CARERS groups
- TEACH groups
- Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) groups
Region and Communities Served
In-person and/or virtual clinical services and groups are provided to eligible care partners living in Vaughan, Richmond Hill, Markham, Newmarket, Stouffville, Georgina, Thornhill, East-Gwillimbury, Aurora, and the surrounding areas.

Care Partner Program Feedback
The CARERS group was so very helpful. I came to sessions tense and upset, and left a little more relaxed and feeling less guilty.
CARERS is a wonderful group. It taught me so much about self-care which I think helps the relationship between care partners and the person living with dementia. I learned so many techniques that have been so beneficial.
